These Booking Conditions contain important information. It is essential that you carefully read and understand them. The Booking Conditions constitute a legally binding contract between you and us for the services provided by us.
By booking with us, you acknowledge that you have read and understood and that you agree to be bound by these Booking Conditions.
All bookings must be paid for in full at the time of booking.
Changes to Bookings
Tour times and dates may be changed by you up to 2 days prior to the date of the tour. Please note: A $5.00 rescheduling fee (per person) will be charged for all changes to bookings.
Occasionally, we may have to make changes both before and after bookings have been confirmed.
Cancellation by you
If you wish to cancel your booking, notification of cancellation must be made to us by telephone.
If you cancel your tour 2 days (48 hours) or more before the start of the tour, you will be refunded 50% of the tour price.
If you cancel your tour within 2 days before the start of the tour, you will not be refunded any of the tour price.
No refund is made to any persons unable to make tour departure times. We will only wait for a short time after scheduled departure for possible late arrivals. Making departure time is your responsibility; allow 5 minutes either side of departure time.
Cancellation by us
We reserve the right to cancel any service prior to departure. Sometimes we must cancel a scheduled tour because of conditions beyond our control (for example severe weather, impassable roads, bushfires). Your safety is paramount to us, so if the tour is cancelled we will notify you of the cancellation by telephone or email no later than 8am of the morning of the scheduled tour. If the tour is cancelled we will suggest an alternative tour to suit you or we will promptly refund your payment in full.
We will not be responsible for any consequential losses arising from a cancellation. Note that we recommend you purchase travel insurance to allow for any unforeseen circumstances.
Gift Certificates (if applicable)
Gift Certificates are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and are redeemable for any of our tours.
Gift Certificates are non refundable and no portion of the gift certificate is redeemable for cash.
A $3.00 postage fee is charged per package dispatched (no charge is incurred if the gift certificate is sent electronically).
Release and Indemnity Form
Before participating in any of our tours, all participants must read and sign our form of Waiver and Release and Indemnity personally or by an authorised agent or guardian if the participant is under the age of 18 years.
Health and fitness
It is your responsibility to advise us before the start of the tour of any pre-existing medical condition and/or disability that might reasonably be expected to increase the risk of you requiring medical attention, or that might affect the normal conduct of a tour and the enjoyment of other trip members. We also reserve the right to cancel your participation in a trip at any time, including after the commencement of your trip, with no right of refund if your medical condition and/or disability could be reasonably expected to affect the normal conduct of the trip and the enjoyment of other trip members.
Our tours are non-smoking and alcohol is prohibited. Please do not drink alcohol prior to any walk. Participants must show respect to other participants and for the environment during any tour. We reserve the right to remove any participant whose conduct is deemed to pose a risk or nuisance and we will not refund or cover any costs or expense incurred for their removal.
Participants must be 8 years of age or older to participate in our tours. Children under the age of 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult to assist them in walking parts of the tour. If no adult is present, the child will not be permitted to attend the tour.
Food and Beverage
You may bring your own food and beverages with you on the tour. We will provide you with a lunch. We accept no liability for the food and beverages consumed on the tour. When booking a tour with us we need to know of any food restrictions you may have so that we have the needed time to accommodate most food restrictions.
You agree that we may use images of you taken during the tour without recourse to you and without compensation to you, for publicity and promotion purposes only through whatever medium we choose.
This agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of Queensland, Australia.
Personal information about visitors to our site is collected only when knowingly and voluntarily submitted. For example, we may need to collect such information to provide you with further services or to answer or forward any requests or enquiries. It is our intention that this policy will protect your personal information from being dealt with in any way that is inconsistent with applicable privacy laws in Australia.
Use and disclosure of personal information
Personal information that visitors submit to our site is used only for the purpose for which it is submitted or for such other secondary purposes that are related to the primary purpose. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of web sites external to our site.
We will not otherwise disclose your personal information without your consent unless otherwise authorised by law.
We may engage third parties to provide you with goods or services on our behalf. In that circumstance, we may disclose your personal information to those third parties in order to meet your request for goods or services.
We strive to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of personal information submitted to our sites. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be totally secure. However, we will try to take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information you may transmit to us. Once we do receive your transmission, we will also make our best efforts to ensure its security on our systems.
Access to Personal Information
You have a right to access your personal information held by us. You can also request amendment to that information if you believe that it is incorrect or make complaints about our information handling practices or breaches of your privacy by us.
